For now, life has returned as GRE “season” has ended.

gut2glam asked: It seems like my lungs because everytime I breathe in- it hurts the most. But it's on my back under my rib cage, so ribs could be a possibility?
Hey
It could be… I had a sharp pain in my ribs awhile ago, and still sometimes get it depending on when (I still can’t find a common denominator). Anyways, I just wanted to clarify b/c it could be easily confused, and the muscles b/t your ribs (your intercostal muscles) could have been strained or pulled, and they take a long time to recover, and since you mentioned it hurts when you breathe, it could have been your rib muscles b/c your ribs do expand when you breathe. But since you said it’s on your back, it seems more like lungs. Hmmmm

Hey! Always love to hear from fellow Crossfitters!
I am actually in Canada, in Victoria, British Columbia! A small little town on Vancouver Island just about 90min ferry ride away from Vancouver!
Hope to hear from you soon and thanks for your compliments/following!
Well, my friend went down to Seattle and I go him to get me the Nike+ sensor (since they are waay cheaper down in the States). I just calibrated it and all and I’m ready to use it! I’m excited to finally track my running progress because I am THE WORST at tracking my progress/writing stuff down etc, so whenever I sync my music, this will just sync up with Nikeplus too which will allow me to simply track my progress! I am very excited about this. I have always had a simplistic view on this, and my progress is my progress and that is that, and while I still have that view, I am trying to turn a new leaf and write stuff down, track progress etc. A new side for me! Yeehaw!
Does anyone else have this Nike+ system? If so, what are your thoughts?

So yesterday we did the Hero WOD Nutts, and it’s as follows:
10 handstand pushups
15 250lb deadlifts
25 30 inch box jumps
50 pullups
100 20lb wall balls
200 double unders
400m run with a 45lb plate
Needless to say I’m sore, especially from the deadlifts. However, I was really happy that I was able to do those deadlifts, as they are just over 100lbs over my body weight! I look back at last year when I first started and am super happy with my progress. All about keeping things in perspective I suppose. Anyways, I’ve been wanting to do this Hero WOD for a while, so I’m glad I did. It might suck going through it, but you realize why this WOD was created, and it’s suddenly not so bad. This WOD was created by Crossfit HQ in memory of Lt. Andrew Nuttal who was killed on duty by an IED while serving with the Canadian Armed Forces in Afghanistan. Rest in Peace.

It seems this layout, while looking sexy, doesn’t seem to let anyone ask questions or reply, and I can’t easily read what people say. Therefore, I feel I should change the layout so that everyone can have more benefit out of the blog. I would like it if people could ask questions easily and people can openly see other’s opinions and we can all share :P Regardless, please bear with me if there are numerous layout changes throughout the next few days. As a scientist, I feel that experimentation, although a must, is incredilbly fun.
Night y’all!
Post workout dinner!
Who thinks salads are just for starting out a meal? Well you might change your mind after you try this substantial salad that is loaded with protein and veggies. If possible opt for a locally made sausage, as they often house less preservatives and often are made fresh on site. This salad isn’t your girlfriends supper, so give it a try.
